Summer Twilight Apes Tour 2006, 40 days, 40 night!

The Apes had a busy little spring. We made 7 new songs and ushered in a new era of music.

More coming. Lots.

I know this is long overdue. I am highly aware and ever apologetic. This tour has been in so many ways, wonderful. Additionally, for me personally, its been the hardest one yet. As always. my bandmates would prefer I not mention my personal bullshit in this forum and I suspect my family would prefer I keep many things under wraps as well. Nonetheless, in the tales of good freaking rock n roll fun, I will gently weave some elements of the ugliness, if for nothing else, a taste of reality.

Let me start off by saying that the only reason I music, or play in band, is for love. I love my bandmates (though they might disagree strongly with this statement). I love music. I love making songs, making records, planning tours, driving the van, wandering around big cities, wandering around small towns. The greatest love of all is the people. The people that we have met, musicians, fans, club people, label people, street people, mean so much to me, its ridiculous. I can go for a year without seeing my West Coast friends, and show up in their town, and its like time stopped. You pick up right where you left off, and have just as much fun as you always did. Strangers welcome you into their homes openly and let you use everything you need. Sometimes, they even cook for you, and go to the grocery store, just to bring you foods that fit your dietary needs. How amazing is it? Pretty amazing. It astounds me each and every day.
